About TypeDriveGames
TypeDriveGames exists because typing practice has a motivation problem. Drills work, but nobody wants to do them — while almost everybody wants to win a race. So we turned the drill into a race: your typing speed is the throttle, your accuracy is the engine, and three AI rivals make sure there is always someone just slightly faster than you to chase.
What we make
- The typing race game — 50-word sprints against AI opponents at 32, 55 and 85 WPM, with live speed, accuracy and position.
- The 60-second typing speed test — an honest measure of your net WPM with a skill-tier readout.
- Typing guides — benchmarks and training advice grounded in how motor skills actually improve.
Our measurement standards
Numbers only mean something if everyone measures the same way. TypeDriveGames follows the industry standard: WPM = correct characters ÷ 5 per minute (the 5-character word normalization used by professional typing tests), and accuracy = correct keystrokes ÷ total keystrokes. Live speed during a race is measured over a rolling 5-second window so the speedometer reacts the way a real one does.

No account, no email, no tracking profiles. Your personal best is stored in your own browser and never leaves it — see the privacy policy for the full details. If you can clear your browser data, you can delete everything we "know" about you.
